Sauver Nigam literally means 'A complete home on water' this boat that floats on the backwaters of Kerala (south of Cochin and north of Kollum) was the first super deluxe houseboat in the region. It is 75 ft long and 15 ft wide with two large bedrooms, and a special sitting area at the front end of the boat that ensures a panoramic view of the greenery and emerald water ahead.
The shallow and rounded hull of the boat is made without using a single nail, called as kettuvallum, meaning rice barge. Each Anjali wood plank is joined to the next with strong coir rope and then coated with caustic black resin obtained from boiled cashew kernels and fish oils.

Accommodation:

Sauver Nigam has two spacious bedrooms, each with large twin beds, tables and chairs, polished wooden flooring, teakwood paneling for roofs. Fans and lights increase the overall comfort. Each room has attached toilets with hot and cold water.
